Kim Potthoff
TASIS Dance Academy by Quorum Artistic Director

 Kim Potthoff, born in Porto Alegre, Brazil, began her dance studies at the age of 3 at Ballet Vera Bublitz. In 1998, she joined the Lenita Ruschel Pereira Ballet School, where she graduated with distinction, following the Royal Academy of Dance method.

Throughout her academic and professional journey, she had the opportunity to work with renowned teachers and choreographers, refining her skills and deepening her knowledge in the art of dance. Her career has been marked by participation in important competitions and festivals, including the Joinville Dance Festival, the Youth America Grand Prix, the Brazilian Dance Congress, and the International Dance Seminar of Brasília.

Kim was awarded Best Dancer and Best Classical Repertoire Dancer in 2005 and 2007 at the Latin American Dance Festival. In 2006, she received the award for Best Neo-Classical Dancer at the Bento em Dança Festival. In 2007, she moved to London, where she furthered her studies at the Royal Academy of Dance. Later, in Portugal, she enrolled at the Lisbon Higher School of Dance, expanding her education and experience on the international stage.

In Portugal, she had the opportunity to collaborate with prominent companies such as Kamusuna Ballet Company, Vórtice Dance Company, and the National Theatre of São Carlos. In September 2012, Kim joined Quorum Ballet, participating in the “Swan Lake” project, and in 2014 she became an official member of the company. In 2015, she joined the Quorum Academy as a teacher, taking on project coordination responsibilities in 2017. In 2020, she provided choreographic assistance to Daniel Cardoso at the National Company of Split, in Croatia.

Currently, Kim Potthoff serves as Ballet Master and Rehearsal Assistence at both the Quorum Project and Quorum Dance Company. In addition, she continues to coordinate and teach at Quorum Project and Quorum Academy, reaffirming her commitment to the artistic and pedagogical development of dance.

Francisca Ampaytoo
Hip Hop Teacher

Francisca Ampaytoo is a professional dancer and hip hop teacher with 10 years of experience.
Her passion for dance has taken her to a wide variety of stages, from the CCB (Centro Cultural de Belém) to Rock in Rio, and has driven her to train with some of the biggest names in urban dance — Jukebox Crew, Diana Matos, SuperDave, Codie Wiggins, Kyle Hanagami, Ray Basa, Aisha Francis, Galen Hooks, among others.

She carries with her over 10 gold medals won in national competitions and brings great enthusiasm to being part of the Quorum team.

Sancha Fonseca
Contemporary Teacher

Sancha Fonseca began her training at the age of two at the Vocational Dance School of Caldas da Rainha. She was admitted to the National Conservatory Dance School (EADCN) at the age of 10, completing her specialised dance training there in 2021. During this time, she studied with teachers including Liliana Mendonça, Cyrille de la Barre, Mikhail Zavialov and Cristina Pereira. 

In the same year, she enrolled on the Bachelor's Degree in Dance programme at the Escola Superior de Dança (ESD) in Lisbon, while also participating in the Quorum Project of the Quorum Ballet company. The following year, she devoted herself entirely to the Quorum Project, collaborating with the company and working with choreographers and teachers such as Daniel Cardoso, Inês Pedruco, Miguel Esteves, Margarida Carvalho, Catarina Casqueiro, Gonçalo Lobato, Kim Potthoff, Tom Colin and Susana Matos over the course of two years. 

Since 2023, she has collaborated with the Sublime Dance Company, taking part in the restaging and touring of pieces from its repertoire.

Tatiane Tomazzoni
Jazz and RAD teacher

Tatiane Tomazzoni, Graduated from the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) in 2006, she completed the RAD's CBTS in 2023, holds a certification in Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT), and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education in the second semester of 2007. She pursued a Masters degree in High-Performance Training at the University of Porto, where she interned as a classical ballet teacher for the Rhythmic Gymnastics team of Boa Vista Football Club. She began her classical ballet studies at the age of four and started taking RAD exams at the age of eight.

Throughout her training, she studied under masters such as Lenita Ruschel, Jorge Penha, Tadheu de Carvalho, Vitória Milanez, among others. She took part in workshops with Tíndaro Silvano, Eduardo Severino, Raul Candal, Ilara Lopes, Toshie Kobayashi, Ronaldo Martins, Gabriela Corrêa, and Jean Alex.

She participated in Brazil's main dance festivals, including the Joinville Dance Festival, CBDD Festival, and the International Dance Seminar of Brasília.

She performed in works such as Don Quixote, Le Corsaire, La Bayadère, Esmeralda, Paquita, Coppélia, Pas de Quatrefrom Swan Lake, and Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux. In 2005, she was awarded "Revelation Ballerina" at the Porto Alegre em Dança festival. She won the Best Ensemble Award two years in a row at the Porto Alegre em Dança Festival (2004 and 2005), and a bronze medal at the International Dance Seminar of Brasília in 2005. She was also a rhythmic gymnastics athlete for several years, winning national championships and a Pan-American title.

She worked as a classical ballet teacher and technical assistant for the Sogipa rhythmic gymnastics team for 10 years. She served as a coach for the Rio Grande do Sul state team during the School Olympic Games, and was a member of the technical committee of the Rio Grande do Sul Gymnastics Federation from 2007 to 2010.

For over 10 years, she taught classical ballet, jazz, conditioning, and flexibility at Lenita Ruschel Pereira, covering open classes, RAD syllabus, festival preparation for groups and solos, and classical repertoire. She was also a teacher of Intermediate Classical Ballet and Physical Conditioning at the Quorum Summer Dance 2017 in Amadora – Lisbon.

In 2023, she worked as a Classical Ballet teacher for the Municipal Dance Company of Porto Alegre.
