Building the new TASIS Portugal Athletic Center and Performing Arts Center. Together.
As you know, it is our goal to make TASIS Portugal the best and most beautiful school in the country.
Our strategic plan, a blueprint for the next three years, highlights the need to maximize efficiencies to expedite completion of these projects allowing students to utilize the new facilities earlier and at a lower expense than anticipated. We are thrilled to have the former cinema available for our performances and will continue making modifications to outfit and utilize the grand performance area. We also signed a long-term lease agreement for the 1.1-hectare property adjacent to our south field and have already begun the construction of a full-size playing field for completion by August 2023.
In addition to these enhancements, we are currently developing these essential spaces:
- Upper School Library
- 6 new High School classrooms
- 3 new Elementary School classrooms (for 5th grade to move)
- A Makerspace
The final and yet-unfunded facilities include our much-needed Athletic Center and Performing Arts Center. TASIS will match all donations. The Building Together Campaign has a goal of raising € 3M toward the € 6M construction.
We are hoping the community will come together and get us across the finish line in short order. Donations of any and all sizes will be much appreciated and will help us to fast-track these essential projects.
