Tuition & Fees

Calculating a School's True Cost

When calculating and comparing school costs, it's important to consider everything that touches your child each day. That means:

  • meals and snacks,
  • supervised care before and after school,
  • field trips,
  • books and instructional materials, and
  • extracurricular activities

When you're looking at tuition, be sure to include these costs in your calculations. Daily meal plans can add up, as can after-school care.

Are the costs of books, instruments, and other instructional materials accounted for? Finally, compare the cost of application fees,  registration fees and capital or building fees. Are they one-time or yearly fees?

These items can impact your first year (and often additional years') payment(s) substantially.
