Aimee Gruber, Director of Enrollment Management & Marketing
Aimee’s love of schools and admissions began in 1991, when she took her first job in the admissions office of a small boarding school in her home state of New Hampshire, USA. Since then she has worked in admissions at boarding and day schools in the United States and Canada. Aimee also has significant experience working for nonprofit educational associations, including The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS) and The Enrollment Management Association (EMA). Aimee is the proud stepparent of two grown men and now even misses the nightly homework battles!

Joana Vaz-Pinto, Associate Director of Enrollment & Marketing
Joana is new to admission, but not new to international schools. A graduate of King’s College in Madrid, Spain, Joana knows the value of an international school education. Prior to joining TASIS Portugal, Joana spent many years working in the hospitality industry, primarily for Four Seasons hotels. Originally from Portugal, she has lived in Spain, the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Turks and Caicos Islands. Joana can assist you in English, Portuguese, or Spanish (some French, too). She is the proud mother of a daughter who loves princesses and unicorns.

Rute da Costa, Receptionist
Rute joined TASIS Portugal following seven years as senior school secretary at St. Dominic's International School in Portugal. She is the proud mom of a son and stepmom of a daughter. She adores animals (cats of all sizes and dragons are her favorites). Rute graduated from ISLA Lisboa with a degree in translation, combined with an Erasmus scholarship from Salford University, UK, where she completed the Advanced Certificate in English as a Foreign Language.She has a passion for reading (her favorite authors are Haruki Murakami and Jose Saramago) and collects cookbooks. Rute plans to return to university and pursue a degree in cultural anthropology.

Nadia Pinheiro, Registrar & Admissions Assistant
Nadia has a background teaching English as a Foreign/Second Language (EFL/ESL) to Cambridge and IB middle and high school students in international schools in France and Portugal. She prepared Sciences Po university students in Upper Normandy to sit the IELTS and TOEIC exams and taught English to French and Portuguese adults. She was born and raised in southern Africa, lived in 6 different countries, and is multilingual. Nadia is keen on travel and gastronomy, international cinema, and world music, and enjoys handicrafts, cooking, and pets.
