Aimee Gruber
Assistant Head, Enrollment Management & Marketing
Aimee’s love of schools and admissions began in 1991, when she took her first job in the admissions office of a small boarding school in her home state of New Hampshire, USA. Since then she has worked in admissions at boarding and day schools in the United States and Canada. Aimee also has significant experience working for nonprofit educational associations, including The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS) and The Enrollment Management Association (EMA). Aimee is the proud stepparent of two grown men and now even misses the nightly homework battles!

Joana Vaz-Pinto
Director of ADMISSIONS
A graduate of King’s College in Madrid, Spain, Joana knows the value of an international school education. Prior to joining TASIS Portugal, Joana spent many years working in the hospitality industry, primarily for Four Seasons hotels. Originally from Portugal, she has lived in Spain, the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Turks and Caicos Islands. Joana can assist you in English, Portuguese, or Spanish (some French, too). She is the proud mother of a daughter who loves princesses and unicorns.

Maria Patrício
ASSOCIATE Director of ADMISSIONS
Maria joined the TASIS Portugal admissions team in the summer of 2021. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Reading in the UK, where she grew up. She has extensive experience in sales and account management in successful startups in London, which were acquired by larger organizations such as Google and the OLX group.

André Gomes
Front of House Coordinator & Admissions/Marketing Assistant
André joins our team as the Front of House Coordinator & Admissions/Marketing Assistant, bringing a warm and friendly presence to our Welcome Center front desk. Prior to this role, he served as the Fitness Supervisor at Penha Longa Resort in Sintra, where he skillfully managed wellness center memberships and coordinated diverse wellness activities and sports programs.
Complementing his professional experience, André holds a degree in Human Motricity - Physical Education from ISEIT, Almada. André's dedication to exceptional service, along with his personal interests such as running, football, and enjoying TV series, makes him a valuable addition to our school community, ensuring a positive and efficient experience for all visitors.
